Cummins Emmisions Solutions Nederland

Cummins ondersteunt haar klanten in Nederland sinds 1935, in dit jaar werd de eerste Cummins motor geïnstalleerd door autofabrikant Schmidt NV in Noord-Holland. In 2005 werd Cummins Holland B.V. een volledige distributeur in eigendom van Cummins Inc.

Vandaag de dag biedt Cummins Holland B.V. uitgebreide aftermarket-ondersteuning voor alle Cummins aangedreven producten die gespecialiseerd zijn in on- en off-highway marktsectoren. Deze sectoren zijn o.a. de automotive (bus), landbouw, constructie, scheepvaart, mijnbouw en de spoorwegen.

Daarnaast biedt Cummins Holland B.V. essentiële toepassingen voor noodstroomopwekking (ziekenhuizen en datacenters) die zich richten op het handhaven van procesprestaties en het verlagen van de totale eigendomskosten.

Tevens levert Cummins Holland B.V. een service van hoge kwaliteit aan hun klanten via een eigen gespecialiseerde werkplaats met toegewijde mobiele technici en haar uitgebreid dealernetwerk.

Een onderdeel van Cummins in Nederland is Cummins Emmisions Solutions Nederland, te Roermond. Hier worden uitlaatsystemen en katalysatoren voor diverse trucks geproduceerd.  

Cummins Emission Solutions Netherlands B.V

Cummins Emission Solutions manufactures exhaust systems and catalysts for automotive brands suchs as DAF, Scania and Ford. The exhaust systems consist of various components that require welding. This involves MIG/MAG and TIG welding thin stainless steel plate material (+- 3 mm thick). Other activities include the manufacture of silencers, pipes, flanges, catalysts and heat shields. These products are made by sawing, bending, punching, pressing and various welding techniques. The welder may carry out work at other workstations where necessary.As a welder, you are responsible for making welded connections. The products to be welded are series or repeat orders. Every year, the welder must pass a proficiency test by making a test piece (validation process).Your work as a welder consists of 4 parts:1. Preparation<ul><li>Reading drawings, photos and work instructions;</li><li>Reading work order and welding joint drawings;</li><li>Setting up the welding machine;</li><li>Applying appropriate (auxiliary) tools;</li><li>Consulting with the Gap Leader on the approach to the work;</li><li>Handling the correct work sequence and the like to prevent distortion.</li></ul>2. Welding<ul><li>Inserting parts in the mould or clamping parts;</li><li>Manual welding using various welding methods;</li><li>Welding joints with welding machines using the technique of resistance welding;</li><li>Welding of products meeting quality standards.</li></ul>&nbsp;3. Control<ul><li>Checking the quality of welding and verifying that it is within tolerance;</li><li>Checking dimensions with control jigs;</li><li>Visually checking the appearance of welds and adjusting tools and machine if necessary;</li><li>Calling in the Gap Leader for complex faults (2nd line) and quality deviations.</li></ul>4. Post-processing- Freeing product from weld spatter using a wire brush; - In case of rejection, independently making small corrections to the product and administering this digitally; - During manual welding, wire sleeves are used to prevent weld spatter; - Remove weld spatter formed during welding on visible and invisible parts.
