Introduction

At our client in Lichtenvoorde, you will work on innovative machines that are used worldwide in the food processing industry. You will operate modern 5-axis CNC lathes and mainly produce individual components and small batches. This means plenty of variety, technically challenging work and ample opportunity to put your knowledge and experience into practice.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a technically skilled and independent CNC Turner who works accurately and takes responsibility for their own work.

In addition, you have:

  • A completed technical vocational education (MBO level 3 or 4), preferably in machining technology, production technology or mechanical engineering.
  • Experience independently setting up and operating CNC lathes.
  • The ability to read technical drawings and interpret dimensions and tolerances.
  • Technical insight and the ability to check and adjust CNC programmes where necessary.
  • Good command of English. Speaking Dutch is not a requirement.
  • Willingness to work in a two-shift system.

Two-shift working hours

Early shift: Monday to Thursday, 06:00–15:15, and Friday, 06:00–12:00.
Late shift: Monday to Thursday, 15:15–00:30, and Friday, 12:15–18:15.

Job description

As a CNC Turner, you will be responsible for independently preparing and carrying out various machining operations. You will work from technical drawings and ensure that every component meets the required quality and dimensional specifications.

Our client works according to the high-mix, low-volume principle. This means you will mainly produce individual components and small batches, regularly working with different products, materials and machining processes.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Independently setting up, changing over and operating 5-axis CNC lathes.
  • Loading, checking and adjusting CNC programmes where necessary.
  • Determining the appropriate workholding methods, tools and machining sequence.
  • Machining components according to technical drawings and specifications.
  • Checking dimensions and quality, identifying deviations and making adjustments where necessary.
