Who are we looking for?

As an assembly technician in high-tech machine building you are accurate, practical and quality-oriented. You understand better than anyone how important it is that every machine delivers exactly what the customer requires. You work independently or together with colleagues on assembling and testing complex modules and systems. You solve problems quickly and proactively, and you naturally enjoy supporting your colleagues and sharing your knowledge.

  • Technicial background or education
  • Interest in fine mechanics and precision work
  • Accuracy and strong attention to detail
  • Good command of English and the ability to follow instructions

Job description

As an Assembly Technician in high-tech machine building you will assemble and test advanced machines used for wafer processing with plasma technology. These machines are essential to the semiconductor industry, a vital sector powering the technology behind everything from smartphones and medical devices to cars, smart appliances and sustainable energy solutions.

You will work in a cleanroom environment. Depending on the size of the machine you will either handle the build independently or together with one or two colleagues. While some standard machines are delivered, no two machines are ever the same since each one is fully customized to the client’s specifications.

Once you know the machines inside out you will also perform the final testing and prepare the accompanying test reports, making sure the machines deliver exactly as promised. This is a highly responsible role as you will be working with precision equipment.

You will also support less experienced colleagues, contributing directly to the team and the quality of the machines. Your work makes an immediate difference in the performance of these products.

  • Assembling high-tech machines and components in a cleanroom environment

Where will you be working?
You will join an innovative company in the semiconductor industry, based in Nijmegen. This high-tech organisation develops and builds machines for the global market, with locations in Europe, China and the United States. The production department in Nijmegen consists of around 20 colleagues who share a passion for technology. The atmosphere is informal and supportive – you are never on your own.
