What is an order picker?

An order picker is a warehouse worker who knows the warehouse inside and out. As a logistics employee, you play a crucial role in the warehouse.

You are responsible for incoming and outgoing orders. You prepare them for shipping and check for any damage. When order picking, you need not only logistics skills but also strong administrative abilities. You possess technical skills and are an all-around player.

Where does an order picker work?

Order pickers predominantly work in warehouses and distribution centers of wholesalers, supermarkets, as well as (online) stores and mail-order companies. Order pickers often collaborate closely with others, such as administrative professionals, production workers, and transport personnel like forklift operators and truck drivers.
